Regarding copper/yield relation, in its simplest form: higher economic activity leads to increased use of copper leads to higher copper prices. Higher economic activity should also lead to higher bond yields, until the Fed comes and breaks something by increasing ST rates. I will try and put up a graph in the next Q.
